Great news for new grads!
We are thrilled to have been awarded £25,000 by the Higher Education Academy/JISC as part of the Open Educational Resources programme
Open Educational Resources to help new practitioners cope is a really exciting project for us to be involved in. We will be working in partnership with UK veterinary schools and other organisations to find out what new veterinary grads need to help them meet the challenges they will face as they start out in practice. We will then look at what open educational resources (OER) there are out there to give them the tools and information they need to tackle whatever comes their way.
Through the project we hope to be able to make existing resources more widely available by encouraging organisations to share full, or partial, content – all part of our commitment to opening up access to resources (see previous post)
The initial research will take place over the next few months; a final report will share the findings and suggest ways forward, so that we can continue to build on what we have learnt, and a workshop is planned for the end of the year.
